Please join us on Tuesday January 27th for our first Meetup of the year! It will take place at My Place, 7401 Watson Rd., (3 doors down from the Shrewsbury Aldi – near Walmart) from 6pm – 8pm!
My Place is a new establishment, not IN our neighborhood, but directly NEXT to it. They have a fantastic bar area where we will be meeting, and I encourage you to check it out. Meetups were started in 2011, so that neighbors could support local restaurants and bars and also “try out” a restaurant you possibly haven’t been to before or revisit one of your old favorites. It also helps to support our local eateries (and drinkeries) on random days that business is slower than usual.
Meetup is just a word we use to describe a happy hour. It’s not a “meeting”. We get together any time between 6-8pm, stay as long as you like, there is no agenda and it’s an opportunity for you to meet your neighbors, make some friends, have a few laughs and sample some delicious food from our local restaurants.
Maybe you’ve never been to My Place before and are curious about it? This is the perfect opportunity for you to do so. Stay as long as you like and pay for your own food and drinks. Drop by for a quick snack or stay the whole time.
