Donations go to Kingdom House and will be collected at the LPNA meeting December 5.
Kingdom House is a social service agency affiliated with the Methodist Church. They offer a variety of services including childcare, food and clothing assistance, youth and teen programs and Senior companions. Part of their food assistance seeks to teach clients healthy eating habits. As such they offer a service entitled Andrea’s Market which offers access to healthy, non-processed foods. Foods they could use to stock their shelves include:
Oatmeal
Brown Rice/Rice
Whole Wheat Pasta/Pasta
Dried or Canned Beans
Chicken or Vegetable Broth
Diced Tomatoes
Tomato Sauce
Olive Oil
Salt, Pepper, Spices
Whole Grain Cereals
Pancake Mix
Canned Fruit in water or light syrup
