Virtual Learning: Route 66

One of the most famous highways anywhere in the world, Route 66 is an icon of American culture and history. Established in 1926, this semi-transcontinental highway stretches 2448 miles from Chicago to Los Angeles and the largest city along the route is our very own St. Louis!  Hit the road with Lindenwood Area Senior Ministry on a virtual program entitled Route 66: Main Street through St. Louis.  It will be presented by Sharon Smith, Curator of Civic and Personal Identity at the Missouri Historical Society.  We will gather on Zoom on Tuesday, September 22nd at 1pm.  You’ll be able to participate either through an on-line link (will need internet access) or by listening in over the phone.  Call or email Katie to register: 314-647-4591 or lasmdirector@gmail.com.  A tech trial run prior to the meeting can be arranged.  No fee to register, donations can be mailed to LASM, 6401 Scanlan (63139) or made on-line at lasministry.org.
