Tweetup: Tuesday, November 19 At Trattoria Marcella

Mark your calendars! We will be holding our last Tweetup of the year at Trattoria Marcella on Tuesday November 19th from 5.30pm – 7.30pm and YOU are invited!
Trattoria Marcella is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant with many accolades to its credit. You are treated like family when you go there and the food is superb! We are so lucky to have an authentic, “made-from-scratch”, friendly restaurant in our neighborhood and you won’t want to miss out on this event! Check out their website here: https://trattoriamarcella.com/
This month’s Tweetup has been moved forward by 1 week due to the restaurant being fully booked up the week of Thanksgiving, so please note that this month, Tweetup will be on the 3rd Tues day of the month.
What is a Tweetup? I’m so glad you asked! Tweetup is a buzz word for a happy hour. You do not have to be a Twitter user to attend one. There is no agenda, just show up any time between 5.30pm – 7.30pm and stay as long as you like. You are not expected to eat or drink, but seeing as you’re there, why wouldn’t you? You are responsible for your own bill. It’s a fun and social way to meet new people from our neighborhood, chat to our Alderman and NIS, find out what is happening in the neighborhood or just shoot the breeze with some great people.

At this month’s Tweetup we will be supporting a local charity, the Service Club for the Blind, in collecting socks for their sock drive. The Service Club for the Blind is collecting socks for Marygrove, who house and care for children taken out of desperate situations – often violent situations. We are looking for NEW socks for children from ages 5 – 18, boys and girls. Please bring any new socks you’d like to donate, with you to the Tweetup and we will ensure they are given to the right people. The Service Club for the Blind is located at 3719 Watson Rd and will be collecting socks until December 16th. Thank you!!

We hope you’ll consider joining us at Trattoria Marcella on Nov 19th and look forward to seeing you all. Be sure to invite your neighbors, friends, family and colleagues. All are welcome.
