It’s once again time for our monthly Meetup! Our next Meetup will be held on Tuesday, August 26th at Babe’s Tavern, located at 3215 Ivanhoe Ave., on the patio between 6-8pm.
Babe’s does not serve food, but you are welcome to bring food over to the patio. We recommend supporting Vinnie’s, Pizza-A-Go-Go or Bubba’s Deli for food choices because they are all part of the Ivanhoe stretch. Babe’s is a much-loved local bar in our neighborhood and their patio is totally sheltered from the sun (and rain) and they have fans!
Meetups were started in 2011, so that neighbors could support local restaurants and bars and also “try out” a restaurant you possibly haven’t been to before or revisit one of your old favorites. It also helps to support our local eateries (and drinkeries) on random days that business is slower than usual.
Meetup is just a word we use to describe a happy hour. It’s not a “meeting”. We meet any time between 6-8pm, stay as long as you like, there is no agenda and it’s an opportunity for you to meet your neighbors, make some friends, have a few laughs and to sample some delicious food from our local restaurants.
Maybe you’ve never been to Babe’s before and wondered what it is like? This is the perfect opportunity for you to do so. Stay as long as you like and pay for your own food and drinks. Drop by for a quick visit or stay the whole time.
