It’s almost Meetup time again! Our September Meetup will take place this WEDNESDAY September 24th from 6pm – 8pm at Aya Sofia Restaurant, located at 6671 Chippewa St., on the side patio. Aya Sofia is not open on Tuesday’s so we will be meeting on Wednesday.
Aya Sofia is an award-winning restaurant in our neighborhood with exquisite Turkish/Mediterranean food, perfectly prepared. If you haven’t been to Aya Sofia before, this is the perfect opportunity for you! If you’re unable to attend, please consider getting take-out or delivery from Aya Sofia. Meetups were started in 2011, so that neighbors could support local restaurants and bars and also “try out” a restaurant you possibly haven’t been to before or revisit one of your old favorites. It also helps to support our local eateries (and drinkeries) on random days that business is slower than usual.
Meetup is just a word we use to describe a happy hour. It’s not a “meeting”. We meet any time between 6-8pm, stay as long as you like, there is no agenda and it’s an opportunity for you to meet your neighbors, make some friends, have a few laughs and to sample some delicious food from our local restaurants.
Maybe you’ve never been to Aya Sofia before and wondered what it is like? This is the perfect opportunity for you to do so. Stay as long as you like and pay for your own food and drinks. Drop by for a quick snack or stay the whole time. Either way, you will be treated like a King!
