There are 2 wards involved in discussion groups about paving. There is a program referred to as 30 And 30 – trees that have service requests for 30 days are at the top of the removal list. Daniel will ask Bret about committed funds and feedback from safety concerns about QT.
NIS report: Ellendale neighborhood wants the Lindenwood sign at Arsenal and Jamieson removed. Karen will let them know that the sign is being moved. Karen contacted Zach Fortune about park drinking fountains; both will be in operation in a couple of weeks. There was a discussion with the owner of the property on Scanlan about it being designated as a problem property. Karen has had emails from residents about an exposed man sleeping in the gazebo and people smoking weed in the park, she has talked to park rangers about both concerns. There was some discussion about moving the tables that are currently between the buildings.

Concerts: About 300 people showed up for the July concert despite the high heat. We will renegotiate with 4Hands for beer sales or find a different vendor; there are 6 food trucks booked for August 2nd. We have 3 sponsors, the newest being Nick Kimble.
Trivia: $2500 income; not as many people at tables and lacked 2 sponsors. Gave out lots of gift certificates. Pat is asking for someone else to oversee future trivia nights.

QT: Discussion about getting more information from LPNA members. Jay will look into setting up presentation for opposition
Park Building: Proposal for Lindy’s was passed by city. The cafe would function from March to October. They will vet improvements with city parks and will have a no-loitering policy and security. They pay rent to the city and might be required to have Port-O-Potties (porta potties) because of the restroom plumbing concerns.
New Business: We need more board members. There was discussion about board member requirements in the bylaws. Several people were mentioned as possible board members. We can describe board positions at the general meeting. We can check with Aaron about who he might recommend.
General Meeting in December: Invite Aaron to present.
September General Meeting: Get an aldermanic proclamation for Milt and Sharon; have a plaque inscribed to place in gardens recognizing Milt and Sharon’s contributions. Serve cake.
Meeting adjourned at 9:15
