Captain Deeba Extends An Invitation To All Second District Residents To Attend 1st Quarterly Community Outreach Meeting

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, February 27, 2018.

The meeting will be held at Bishop DuBourg High School located at 5850 Eichelberger (63109). Doors will open at 6:00 pm with an official start time of 7:00 pm. The meeting will promptly end by 9:30 pm.

We have extended invitations to all Alderpersons, State Representatives and Senators who have interests within the Second District boundaries. We have also extended invitations to various city department heads.

The last such meeting Captain Deeba held was in the spring of 2016. 15 of District 2’s 23 Neighborhoods attended. We are hoping for 100% attendance by each Neighborhood, their elected officials and/or staff, and each neighborhood’s organization President and/or leadership committee.

The motto for the District 2 Community Outreach Kickoff, is “Dignity and Respect for All.” Our vision is to have a meeting which represents the diverse makeup of the Second District. We can achieve this through the honest and respectful communication/discussion of current problems faced by our residents. We want to facilitate an open forum with those that we serve and openly discuss the hard issues.

Future meetings will be held at other large venues within District 2. We will post them on Nextdoor, Twitter (@SLMPD_District2), and our Facebook page (SLMPD District 2).
