A Lindenwood Park resident has procured a dozen trees from Forest ReLeaf of Missouri
to be planted in Lindenwood Park; a mix of black walnut, silky dogwood, Tupiltree and
eastern wahoo, the latter more of a decorative shrub. We need volunteers
to help dig and plant the trees on Saturday, November 2nd at 9:00 AM.
Meet at the park building. All volunteers are welcome and if they can
bring any of the following items would be helpful: a shovel, spade,
wheel barrel and a serrated-edge knife to cut the tree root ball. We
need volunteers to dig, carry and lift the trees into place, refill the
hole and water. Don’t forget gloves. Depending on where the trees are
planted should have sufficient hose length otherwise may need to haul
some large buckets of water. Project should not take more than a couple
of hours depending on how many volunteers are able to help.
