Thanks to a grant from the Neighbors Naturescaping Greening Project the final phase of the beautification project on Wabash will be completed! We need around 10 volunteers to help plant 56 bushes, 70 grasses, and 54 perennial flowers on Friday, October 5, from 1:30 pm until whenever everything is planted. It’s not as bad as it might seem. Someone will be using an electric auger to dig the holes. We place the plants in the holes, back-fill with dirt and we’re done. This work is to be done on Wabash between Oleatha and Pernod 63139 behind the guard rail at the turn. Please email mardelusa03@yahoo.com if you are willing to help beautify your neighborhood!
