The St. Louis Public Library is having “virtual Tech Connect” sessions, and you can sign up at the link: www.slpl.org/tech-connect/.
This is for people who were never on board the eBook bus, but now find themselves desperate for free reading material. They can fill out the form and someone can walk them through Overdrive, Hoopla, etc. and update their card if needed.
Also important – they can walk people through finding jobs online, filing for unemployment, figuring out what this Zoom is that they keep hearing about and other ways of keeping in touch with friends and family from a distance. If they fill out the form (or ask someone else to fill it out for them!), someone from the Library will get back to them by the method they indicate – phone, email, or Zoom.
There are also loads of book recommendation lists for adults, story time videos and songs for the kids, and general content on the Library’s Facebook page.
Please note that the libraries are still closed.
