Every spring and fall, volunteers are needed to clean up Lindenwood Park. Residents, scout troops, and students who need community service hours are welcome to come to lend a hand, a shovel, or a wheelbarrow to help make our park look nice. It’s a time to come together as a community and get to know your neighbors better while gaining some neighborhood pride. We gather at the park building at 9:00 am and work until the job is done. Please come as long as you can, even an hour or two is appreciated.
Projects usually include:
- weed the flower beds
- lay mulch on flower beds and around park trees
- sweep the pavilion
- pick up trash
- rake up leaves
- trim bushes
- plant flowers
Be sure to bring a pair of gloves and your tools to help get the job done. Please remember to put your name on your tools so they can make it back to your home.
Recommended for the jobs are:
- gloves
- pitchfork
- pruning shears or clippers
- rake
- shovel
- wheelbarrow
Water and snacks are provided! We hope to see everyone in the fall and spring to help keep our park looking great.
