Tony Raineri from Raineri Construction presented a proposal to build a $15m, 85-unit apartment complex, which will be located at 3230 Clifton Ave.  The apartment complex will be built according to City requirements.

An amendment was made to the February 12, 2022, Minutes, Old Business.  New Board Member, Jenna Tanner was amended to read Jenna Stout. The Minutes from the Board Meeting held on February 12, 2022, were approved.  Motion made by Emily Y and 2nd by Carol.

 

Raineri Construction: A unanimous vote was taken to support the project.  LPNA will write a letter of support if asked to do so.

 

Neighborhood Meeting: to be held at Watson Terrace Christian Church, June 6, at 7.30pm

  • Possible guest speaker: Scott Ogilvy – re bike paths/trails. Lindenwood Park Place owner.
  • LPNA Business.
  • Elected Officials & Karen Clifford.
  • LASM & Machacek Library.
  • Police Liaison Officer.

 

Alderman’s Report

  • Watson in the City pole banners: HCBA picked up the cost of the insurance on the 7 signs. Cost is $70/sign/year if it is a business district and $10 per sign if it is a neighborhood association. Most signs are in Lindenwood Park along Watson Road. A motion was made that LPNA will pay for the cost of the insurance and HCBA will reimburse the cost to LPNA. Motion made by Greg and seconded by Tim.  Motion approved.
  • Pagano Development (on Leola): The appeal was approved.  Pagano will have to work with the neighbor.
  • Recycling: Joe is writing a resolution letter to halt the cost of recycling until it resumes. The mayor has stated that recycling will resume within 8 weeks.

 

Streets & Properties & NIS Report:

  • 65xx Hancock: The owners have 30 days to vacate the property and it is to remain closed for 12 months.
  • 66xx Marquette: Sold
  • 71xx Mardel: Father has been gone since November. Daughter is in rehab. House is secure, garage is not. Karen will work with the father to sell the property.
  • Mobile Home: It is parked at St. Michael’s. Owners are living in a tiny house on Jefferson.
  • Trash cans: Need trash cans by Walgreens and MacDonalds. Possibly HCBA will purchase them.  This is not in Lindenwood Park.
  • 66xx Pernod: Owner died, and the property is vacant – in probate.
  • Trash: There is a lot of trash in the median on Jamieson. The street cleaners are not cleaning it properly.
  • 69xx Pernod: Someone has moved in, and the property is looking great.

 

Committee Reports

 

Events:

  • Lindenwood Live!: Food trucks – short 1 truck for 1 show and 2 trucks for 1 show. Battling to get responses from truck vendors.  We have booked: Kettlecorn and Kettlecorn’s ice cream truck, NY Tom’s, Cajun BBQ, Speedway Eatery, Sometime a Vegan, Seoul Taco, Chick Oink Moo Sliders, Southside Wine and Rockwell.  Bands: short one band for September. Have permits and need the park application form.  Include extra trash cans.  Recycling – Doug.  Reserved R+R Porta Potties.  Need more people to help put out signs.
  • Tweetup: April’s Tweetup will be held in-person at El Paisano on Tuesday April 26th.
  • LinFest: Raising Cane’s confirmed as a banner sponsor ($1,000). Committee will be meeting tomorrow.
  • Trivia: Postponed unless someone wants to take it over.

 

Beautification:

  • Aaron’s Trash pick up’s/Forest ReLeaf/Cigarette Receptacle: Aaron purchased a cigarette receptacle and placed it by the bus stop on Jamieson, filled with sand and was emptying it. 2 Weeks later it was stolen! Cost was $65.
  • Park Cleanup: Pizza will be provided to encourage volunteers. Jim Joyce will be asked if he’d like to sponsor this, but if not, a motion was made by Gabe to purchase 10 pizzas and seconded by Carol.  Emily will collect tools from Operation Brightside.  Aaron will order mulch for the trees.  Flowers will be purchased – Pat will ask her nephew to provide perennials.
  • Community Garden: Added 4 new beds. Have placed an order for seeds with Seeds St. Louis (ex-Gateway Greening). Now have 33 beds in total.
  • Wabash Garden: LPNA will take care of a installing a gate for easy access to the highway area in order to keep it clear of trash.
  • Green Team: Our prospective grass cutter got a promotion at work and is unable to commit to cutting the grass in the triangle.  Looking for a replacement to cut it every 2 weeks.  The sign will be moved during the next highway trash pickup on Saturday April 16th.

 

Communications

  • There was a small website issue – an email glitch, but the PHP was updated and now seems to be running fine.

 

Membership:

  • Lindsay and Lisa will get together and discuss the handover. 70 members did not renew for 2021.  Currently have 264 members for 2021.

 

Treasurer:

  • Procedure for getting a check: Must first be approved by Pat, contact Carol and can either get a cashier’s check from the Amy at the Lindenwood Park branch or Carol will deliver it.
  • Mail: Lisa will get the key from Lindsay and collect mail and either drop it off at the Lindenwood Park branch (Amy) or scan it and email it to Carol.
  • When requesting money/reimbursement, copy Pat on all correspondence.

 

Safety:

  • Will arrange a time to visit the real time crime unit.
  • Pat has the signs for #9pmRoutine and Wendy has the QR code ready. It will point to the flyer on the website. Postcards are with the printer and Nancy (STL Hills) will organize them. Should be ready to out next week.
  • Greenlight Dispensary gave $1,000 donation for the #9pmRoutine.
  • Milt suggested we should nominate ourselves for “What’s Right with St. Louis”.

 

Century Homes:

  • 59 plaques have been sold (58 owners). 4 plaques are requested and will order when we have a minimum of 15. 50 houses have been mailed as eligible for plaques. Aiming to market them at holiday’s (Mother’s/Father’s Day, Christmas etc.)
  • Add Century Homes details to the welcome packs.
  • Working on yard signs to place in the neighborhood with QR code linking to the website with Century Homes details. Motion made for approval to buy the signs by Tim, seconded by Gabe.

 

Old Business

  • Bump outs on Jamieson. There are only 2.  No plans for 4.

 

New Business

  • Request a date to hold a park building cleanup day.

 

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8.58pm.
