Tree Planting

Aaron’s fundraiser met its $900 goal easily in 5 days.  Some donations were made from outside the neighborhood and even outside the state! (Thanks to Aunt Martha in Iowa!) $900 equates to 30 x 3-gallon established trees.

Going forward: Aaron will make info available on Facebook.  Trees will be given out on Monday at 6pm.  The first 30 people will get trees – hopefully, they will get their first or second choice of tree.  Pictures and descriptions of trees have been posted on Facebook.  Aaron will advise Forest ReLeaf what is needed and arrange a date to collect them.  Planting is scheduled for mid-March and Aaron will co-ordinate with volunteers (will need at least 6) to offer assistance with planting the trees.  He will ask the homeowner to dig the hole and provide the dimensions for the hole.  Homeowners will be asked to be cognizant of pipes, wires, sprinklers, and he will give them Missouri One Call’s number.  He will also offer info on how to take care of the tree.  LPNA will possibly pay for the rental of a UHaul to collect the trees.

Amendment to the Minutes of January 13, 2021 should reflect that the online shop is not up and running yet.

The Minutes from January 13, 2021 were approved.  Motion made by Greg and 2nd by Adam.
