Sahar El Hussein is wanting to open a vape store at 3442 Watson (old chiropractic office).  Will be selling hookah supplies, heads/fruit vape, possibly looking into other tobacco products. Street parking on Marquette and Watson. Will install security and cameras. No gathering – just walk-in sales, online sales and pick up.  Hasn’t yet spoken with neighbors, nor signed a lease agreement. Will not allow loitering outside. Happy to comply with all regulations and requirements.  Intends on doing inside construction.  Will have to get a tobacco license to sell hookah. No flyers on windows, wants to keep the windows and property looking classy.

After discussion at the end of the meeting it was decided that the Board needed time to think about this and we would report back to Pat via email on Sunday as to whether or not we would support this venture.

An amendment was made under the Safety heading, to add “Decided not to move forward with the Awarenet program as it is not cost effective at this time.”

A motion was made to approve the Minutes from Aug 19th, 2023 by Emily and seconded by Carol.
