Aaron Dohogne is organizing a trash pick-up in Lindenwood Park on Saturday, September 25, from 10 – 11 AM.
This is a special Pick-Up because Garcia Properties will be sponsoring it. They will donate $10 per volunteer (up to $500) to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital! This is meant to encourage more people to come and pick up trash, while giving back to a good cause. With a large enough crowd (50), we will split up, with half of us going over to Watson Ave. to pick up trash there, while the other half (and the kids) stays near the park, where traffic is slower and safer.
We will meet at the corner of Pernod and Jamieson just before 10 AM and pick up trash for 1 hour. Bring gloves (but Aaron will have some extra pairs). he’ll have everything else (buckets, trash bags, yellow vests, and some gloves).
Coffee and doughnuts will be provided. A former student of Aaron’s (now studying culinary arts and working at Pint Size) is making cupcakes. And, a local bluegrass band will play some tunes for us as we finish up. It’s going to be a great day! Hope you can make it and please spread the word!!!
