Alderman’s Report

Streets & Properties & NIS Report:
Tim spoke with the City Inspector and received feedback on the following 2 properties:
- 69xx Pernod: Permits are pulled, and the contractor is doing good work and it’s looking great.
- 708x Oleatha: Major headache. Owner seems overwhelmed and work is not getting done.
Events:
- Tweetup: November 23rd from 6pm-8pm. Venue to be decided. This will be final Tweetup for the year.
- Holiday Lighting: Pat to ask Jon Porter if he’d like to chair it.
- Lindenwood Live! / LinFest: A meeting is scheduled on Monday November 15 at 6.30pm at Pat’s house for the Event’s Committee.
Beautification:
- Park Cleanup: Refer to park report from Emily Y. 15 volunteers helped with the cleanup. 4 trees were planted, all beds were mulched, bushes were trimmed and GSA had a group of 13 students who cleaned the tennis courts. The playground was mulched a week later by an outsourced company. Kim Hagele has not authorized this. Tim will switch the electricity off in the park building.
- Community Garden: Refer to the year-end update email sent by Sharon. Replaced some boards from the bed frames – on-going. GSA students visited several times and Milt held a “show-and-tell” with them. Beds are being cleared for winter in order to start maintenance, some rye has been planted. Will order seeds from Burpee for next year.
- Wabash Garden: 4 Trees have been marked for removal by the city.
- Green Team: Had 9 volunteers and a couple of new people at the November clean up. Shane Elliott will cut the grass in the triangle next year. Tim got more yellow bags from MODOT. Will sent up the 4 events for next year. Our area is from the Jamieson bridge, west to half a mile. Will ensure that 2 people collect trash from under the bridge for safety reasons.
- Ivanhoe Planters: Tom Acquisto cleared out all the plants. Canna are still there so left that alone. Soil will need to be replaced at some stage. All businesses are taking care of the planters.

Looking at starting it in 2022.
