Alderman’s Report
- Penn Station Shooting: A worker called her boyfriend to come and sort out an issue. He showed up with a gun and shot up the restaurant. It is on the problem property list.
- 69xx Sutherland: Wanted to condemn and shut down the property but the judge gave them 30 days to vacate the property. Shots have been fired from the property, but no shells were found.
- Grow Gear: Will be opening a 2nd location at one of the Bayers’ locations (garage side).
- Old Snax: Will be an Afghani restaurant. Hearing is in 4 weeks, but it should open in approximately 2 weeks if Joe writes a letter.

Committee Reports
Events:
- Meetup: October’s Meetup will be held at LoRusso’s on Wednesday October 26th.
- LinFest: Huge success. Thanks to Emily R for chairing the committee and for all the sponsorship she secured. Income was $11,160.00. Expenses were approximately $4,752.55. Profit was $6,407.45. This was a record profit for LinFest. There is a PayPal issue with a t-shirt payment that is pending and an artisan who suspects she was double charged on PayPal – also pending. Greg will call PayPal to rectify.
- Volunteer Appreciation: October 8th @ 3pm at the park gazebo. We had 15 attendees who enjoyed food from Mom’s Deli.

- Building: Need historical experts to advise what can be done to improve the building.
- Bathrooms: will be updated at some time. Lateral line is clear. Men’s bathroom stinks and needs to be hosed down. Emily to advise Kim.
- Community Garden: Picked more veggies. Monarchs were spotted in the garden. Sharon will have a year-end report at the neighborhood meeting. A couple of beds will be available for next season. Picked up a few equipment pieces from alleys that need a few repairs. A couple of beds need repairs.
- Wabash Garden: Planted daffodils and tulips.
- Green Team: Milt and Sharon did a small trash pickup. The grass cutter hasn’t given Tim an invoice since May. Next cleanup will be scheduled in November. The city has weeded the median once.
